Darrell Parsons — Founder and Chairman

Mr. Parsons founded AFIMAC in 1982 with a clear vision of filling an enormous gap in the saturated security industry. To do this, he created a "premium" investigative and security service product to serve corporate clients in need. From its modest beginnings in the Greater Toronto area, Mr. Parsons guided the business strongly forward with unwavering adherence to superior quality and industry best practices. Today, under his continued leadership, AFIMAC enjoys its status as North America's largest provider of Crisis Management & Response Services.
A well-recognized corporate leader, Mr. Parsons firmly believes that businesses should give back to the community that supports them. As such, he keeps active in a wide variety of associations and charities, and serves as a mentor to several other business professionals heading up strategic organizations, Mr. Parsons is also a founding member of the Mayor's Round Table in Milton, Ontario, an organization that focuses on supporting people and businesses in the community.

Peter Martin — President & CEO

Mr. Martin is an international security practitioner having worked extensively in both the North American and overseas markets. Beyond his experience in the international security industry, he is a recognized subject matter expert in crisis management, use of force, threat/risk assessment and personal and physical security measures.
As a frequent keynote speaker and lecturer on a variety of security related issues, Mr. Martin advocates the importance of detailed risk analysis and proactive measures to enhance corporate and personal safety.
In addition to his work at AFIMAC, Mr. Martin previously held a Partial Load Professor status teaching Advanced Security Management and Security Law in a leading College's Graduate Studies Program.
He maintains active memberships in the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, Overseas Security Advisory Council, Canadian and American Societies for Industrial Security, Association of Counter-Terrorism and Security Professionals and the International Tactical Training Officers Association.

Jim Rovers — Vice President Strategic Development

Mr. Rovers has been actively involved in the fields of security, investigations and labour dispute for nearly two decades. With a background in manufacturing engineering, he has assisted many Fortune 500 companies in the development of contingency plans regarding security, transportation and temporary staffing. He has worked extensively throughout Canada and the United States on investigation of theft and narcotic issues in the workplace.
Mr. Rovers joined AFIMAC in 2004 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. A former executive of HRPLD (Human Resource Professionals of London) and he is a member of ASIS, the American Society of Industrial Security. Mr. Rovers is in the process of completing his CHRP (Canadian Human Resources Professional) accreditation.

Stephen Anderson — VP

Mr. Anderson has developed a unique knowledge base in the area of security-related marketing and management. Prior to joining AFIMAC in 2001, he worked for a major building developer managing the sales and marketing team, and coordinating security and public access planning for a new hotel development in Toronto. While managing an airport hotel staff of 30, Mr. Anderson liaised with federal authorities on many security-related investigations. He had full airport security clearance with the RCMP in this role.
A CDT® Tactical Master Instructor, Mr. Anderson also assists the training of AFIMAC's special response security. He was the project manager for the construction and design of AFIMAC's company headquarters in Milton, Ontario, which is equipped with state-of-the-art security. He also coordinates all initiatives in relation to marketing, advertising, trade shows and events. He is a member of ASIS, the American Society of Industrial Security, IAAI, the International Association of Arson Investigators, HRPAO, the Human Resource Professionals Association of Ontario, its Manitoba counterpart HRMAM and APRC, the Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada.

Rob Shuster — Vice President of Protective Services and Training

Prior to joining AFIMAC, Mr. Shuster spent most of his 30 year career with a global leader in uniform security and investigations services. There, he held various positions including: executive protection detail leader, director of training, vice president of corporate development and senior vice president of the asset protection team.
Mr. Shuster is a respected expert in security practices and training related to crisis management and response, labour disputes, close protection operations, special event security, security awareness programs, evasive & defensive driving, and executive protection program design. He has written corporate security articles and white papers, and has lectured for many noted organizations including the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the International Society of Special Event Planners, the Young Presidents Organization, Penn State University, the Tactical Response Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Mr. Shuster has also served two (2) four year terms on the private security advisory board for the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.
